Exciting East Lothian venture to bridge the "digital
divide" for rural Scotland
A new co-operative company, Lothian Broadband Limited (Lothian Broadband), has been established to speed up the broadband service available in East Lothian. This venture is part-financed by Garvald and Morham Community Council.

In some parts of the county there is poor or no service. Downloading films, games or large business files is either very slow or simply not possible. Lothian Broadband will create a new infrastructure to provide a high-speed service to parts of the County. After the initial phase, further areas will be connected.
Our aims are strongly supported by The Royal Society of Edinburgh’s “Ambition for a Digital Scotland”. The project has received enthusiastic and wide support from civic leaders, officials and the local community.
The Board are most grateful to Garvald and Morham Community Council without whose financial help this project would not be possible.
